Gasket Mounted Mechanical Keyboard
The Galaxy80 takes high-quality gasket structures. The keyboard adds a poron foam, IXPE switch pad, PET sound pad, EMDP switch set pad and PET bottom pad. High-quality gaskets and silicone in gasket-mounted keyboards absorb the impact of each key, creating a smoother, cleaner, and more flexible typing experience.

Solid Design With Aluminum Case
This premium aluminum construction lends the keyboard a heavy-duty, textured feel and superb durability—plus, that alloy finish gives it a luxe, high-end vibe!

TKL Layout
For those looking to save space, or who simply don’t see the need for a dedicated number pad, the TKL layout strikes an ideal balance between compactness and versatility — and it just makes a lot of sense.

Double Shot 88-Key Hot-swappable Keyboard
The FEKER Galaxy80 is a wireless mechanical keyboard with an aluminum CNC case. It features a beautiful, unique design and provides a solid, premium feel. It has south-facing LEDs and is hot-swappable with either 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches. There is no need for soldering when replacing stock switches for other colors and MX-styles.

South-facing RGB Backlights
The FEKER Galaxy80 features a variety of default RGB effects that you can easily change by key combination. South-facing PCB can make the keyboard RGB smoother and brighter. The Galaxy80 takes CHERRY profile keycaps. The PBT material of the keycaps is more durable and oil-resistant. The compatible software is available for those who love more DIY settings.

Tri-Mode Connection
The FEKER Galaxy80 offers maximum flexibility in connection options, supporting wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.1 connections. A 2.4GHz wireless dongle and type-c cable are included with the keyboard. Additionally, its 4000mAh battery and energy-saving module make for a long life of wireless use.

Wide Compatibility
Compatible with Windows 7/8/9/10/11/Mac/Linux/Android/iOS.

I love it.

When I saw and heard the Galaxy80, it immediately piqued my interest. Whatgeek UK offered it at a very competitive price and it shipped and arrived within a week of ordering. It was also padded and properly packaged. And I must say that this keyboard did not disappoint. It feels so sturdy and solid. Sound and type feel are very subjective things. Right out of the box, this one feels very smooth and marbly. I think the sound from the default Feker marble switches might be a bit loud for some, but it's not harsh or intrusive - and the letter keys really do sound like marbles! The larger keys sound a bit deeper and more muted. The switches are quite light for me and are taking some getting used to (my accuracy is down a bit), but it feels very good to type on them. The only thing that I feel could be smoother, is the spacebar. At some point I'll maybe open it up and add some lube or try modding it, but it's definitely not bad.

They keycaps also feel good to me, although I'm not the biggest fan of the colour scheme so I'll be changing the caps at some point (I would have preferred the retro off-white board, but it was sold out so I went with the black).

I've installed the software but unfortunately have run into some trouble in that it's not displaying properly (seems to be missing a font pack or something, I'm still trying to sort it out). As such I can't comment on that yet. There appears to be basic functionality to remap keys, make a few layers and tweak the lighting. I don't care much for RGB on my keyboard so I keep all the lighting off, but I can say that the RGB is very bright and vibrant. This may come at the cost of battery life, but it can easily be dimmed which will probably help extend time in between charges. If used in wired mode, people who like playing around with lighting effects could probably make it shine.

In terms of the battery, I think my battery indicator (fn + space) might not be working right. It showed that the battery was full even as the "fn" key was flashing red to indicate that the keyboard needed to charge. I'm still testing to see what the deal is with that.

Something I need in a keyboard is wireless capacity and long battery life (this is not for travel but I move my keyboard around on my desk a lot and need it to move out of the way without hassle). The 2.4GHz wireless connection seems to be working just fine. So far, the battery seems fine although I haven't been using it long enough to be able to give a good evaluation of that aspect.

I'm planning on using this keyboard daily in the long term, but the longevity of the keyboard and battery remain to be seen. I don't have prior experience with Feker keyboards, but since it feels so well built, I really hope that it lasts a very long time. Despite the flaws I've pointed out with the software and battery indicator light, I'm still rating this keyboard 5 stars based on the irrational joy I feel when using it. It just ticks all my personal subjective boxes when it comes to feel and sound.

Great aluminum mechanical keyboard for its price

Aside from this mechanical keyboard, I have 5 different mechanical keyboards, but I believe the Feker Galaxy 80 and Leobog hi8 are good quality keyboards that can compete with each other. The switches are satisfying for this price, but you may want to change them according to your preference in the future. I really liked the unique keycaps it has. Switching between connection modes is very easy; everything is clearly shown in the user manual. I recommend buying it if you're interested.
