Great Macropad, no instructions in the box which took some time to figure out how to customise the the keys. The Bluetooth version is not VIA compatible, I had to use Vial and locate the correct JSON file to do what I needed to do. Now works to how I wanted it to.

The BT implementation seems flaky and sends arbitrary key codes. It's not usable for my workflow.

The software was a pain to setup and they really need to work on that. At least link to pertinent instructions! Also note that one of my Windows laptops could not see the device at all! (this could have been down to aging h/w). I've yet to try it on MacOS but I suspect recent MacBooks will be fine (from reading other peoples experiences).

So don't get me wrong, if you've got the patience to get this hardware working and it fits your work flow, you'll be impressed. I'm a programmer and I'm using it in my IDE, I love it.

If they solved the above issues, this would be a five star device to my mind.

I have been on the lookout for a macropad that offers plenty of keys and more than one tactile dial, and the DOIO KB16B-02 achieves exactly this. With its 16 programmable keys and multiple layers for customization, it provides more macro options than I can currently think of, making it an incredibly versatile tool.

However, I do feel that a comprehensive guide would greatly benefit beginners, helping them navigate the initial setup process more smoothly. It would also be useful to have clear information on what each button on the back does without having to resort to Google searches. As it stands, customizing the DOIO KB16B-02 requires more effort than one might anticipate.

Despite this, the device is outstanding. The switches feel great, and the dials have a satisfying resistance to them. At its price point, it is hard to say no to this little device. With a bit of effort, it can pull off many magic tricks and truly save time.

Let's start from the fact that the product can be brought to a higher level if only it were better supported in the software field. The best usability is only found with VIA 1.3.1, an old version which is no longer available on its official website. The configuration can also be accessed with VIA 3, but an arrangement must be made to the json code.
For the rest, i.e. the materials, the structure, the knobs etc., I find it a high-end product, far superior to many other macropads present in the most famous stores.
I would add that I would like to have support for the 2.4 GHz wireless connection, since Bluetooth has less performance and among other things it is not clear how to deactivate/activate it.
